John Malley, National Trust Water Advisor and West Cumbria Rivers Trust Trustee, knows all there is to know about the Borrowdale valley. He will take you on a guided walk from Seatoller, revealing so much more than meets the eye. Learn about how humans have managed and manipulated the landscape, understand more about our river systems and flooding, and explore the wealth of interesting flora and fauna in the area.

When and where

Who’s it for?

This event will be suitable for any adults and older teenagers comfortable walking 6km on rocky and uneven terrain.

What to bring 

Bring clothes suitable for the weather, including sturdy footwear.
