Volunteering: Derwent River Watchers - Balsam Bash

20th June 2019

Himalayan balsam is an invasive non-native plant that takes over large areas of our river banks, and then puts the bank at risk of erosion when it dies back in the winter. Come along and help us stop the spread.

Time: 9.30am - approx 3pm

Meeting point: West Cumbria Rivers Trust, 32 Lake Road, Keswick, CA12 5DQ

Please Bring: Lunch, waterproofs, suitable footwear (boots/wellies), warm kit/sun hat and sun screen, and gloves if you have them.

Hot drinks and biscuits provided. No need to book - just turn up!

If you have any queries, please email philippa@westcumbriariverstrust.org
