Join us at Loweswater from 2pm to 7pm on Thursday 1 July.
Himalayan Balsam is an invasive, non-native plant that prevents native species from growing, chokes our waterways, and causes riverbank erosion. We’ll be pulling it up - no experience is necessary as we’ll show you what to do. Everyone is welcome - as long as you are happy bending down and pulling up plants! Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please bring wellies or boots, gardening gloves, clothing suitable for the weather, and some food and drink. Long trousers and sleeves are preferable. Tools will be provided. Limited parking is available but there are no facilities on site.
Places are limited due to current restrictions so please let us know you’ll be coming by booking a place:
Can’t make the whole event but still want to get involved? No problem, it would be preferable for everyone to be there for the demo at the beginning of the session but if you’re planning on joining after work please just let us know!
