Bird Count Challenge

Thanks for getting involved in our bird count challenge.

We are asking visitors to help us monitor bird numbers on Derwent Water by taking part in a simple five-minute count. You can join in from Crow Park or from the jetties near the launch at Lakeside.

Your count helps us build a clearer picture of how bird numbers change over time, and how this may be affecting the lake, including its water quality.

It is quick, easy, and makes a real difference. Every count adds to our understanding of Derwent Water and helps support future conservation work.
