Join us for some wellbeing activities in the woods!
Spending time outdoors and helping to nurture and conserve nature can have many benefits, including helping to reduce stress and anxiety, improving physical health, reducing loneliness and allowing people to feel connected to nature. As part of the Wilder Walkmill project we are encouraging people to spend some time outside in the woodland with us. We will be running regular morning wellbeing sessions throughout the year (usually on the second and third Tuesday of the month) where we will be doing a variety of activities including seed harvesting and planting, fire lighting, cooking, woodwork and arts and crafts, to name just a few.
When: Tuesday 21st November, 10am-12pm
Where: Walkmill Community Woodland
What: Preparing and planting tree and wildflower seeds for the community tree and wildflower nursery..
Spaces are limited so if you would like to come along to this session please book a place here.
Thanks to our funders: National Lottery Heritage Fund, Sellafield Ltd SiX - Social Multiplied Impact Programme and supported by The Environment Agency.
