Saturday's at Walkmill: Fence Removal

12th November 2022

Join our new practical volunteer group at Walkmill Community Woodland. Meeting on the second Saturday of the month, Saturday’s at Walkmill, will help with practical conservation tasks ranging from meadow restoration to fence removal.

All the work you help with will be part of our Wilder Walkmill project which aims to improve the site for people and wildlife and encourage greater use of this fabulous community resource. Walkmill Community Woodland is a vital and much-loved open space and is important because of its significant natural and industrial heritage. ‘A Wilder Walkmill’ aims to improve access for all, create new and improved habitats to support nature recovery, increase volunteering opportunities and events and activities for the local community, and provide education sessions and forest schools
