Looking for a way to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy the great outdoors? Our Wellbeing in Nature sessions are all about good company, fresh air, and trying your hand at something different. Whether it’s sharing a story around the campfire, getting stuck into a bit of woodcraft, foraging or simply enjoying the peace of the trees, there’s something for everyone.
Spending time outside has loads of benefits—it can boost your mood, ease stress, and give you a real sense of connection (to both nature and good craic with others!). Plus, it’s just a great excuse to get active, get outdoors and do something fun.
Come along and join us in the woodlands as part of the Wilder Walkmill project. No pressure, no experience needed - just bring yourself and see what it’s all about!
When: Thu 21 May, 1pm-3pm
Where: Walkmill Community Woodland (meet at Moresby Rugby Union Club)
What: Take inspiration from Spring and join us for an afternoon having a go at the art of hapa-zome. We will start with a walk through the woodlands to collect some natural materials before using these to create our own nature prints - this is done by using a hammer to release the dyes in the foliage on to the paper/card/fabric. Feel free to bring along some of your own foliage from your garden.
No experience is necessary and we will provide all the tools and materials.
Who: This event is free & suitable for all abilities
Notes: Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and for an outdoor setting. Sturdy footwear is advised.
