Wellbeing in Nature at Walkmill Community Woodland

  • Moresby Rugby Union Club Moresby Parks CA28 8XW (map)

As part of the Wilder Walkmill project we are encouraging people to spend some time outside in the woodland with us. We will be running regular Wellbeing in Nature sessions throughout the year where we will be doing a variety of activities including seed harvesting and planting, fire lighting, cooking, woodwork and arts & crafts, to name just a few.

When: Wed 21 Jan 1pm-3pm

Where: Walkmill Community Woodland (meet at Moresby Rugby Union Club)

What: We will go for a walk around the woodland looking for and identifying birds. We will then have a stop off for teas and coffees and to make or own fat balls and monkey nut strings for the birds

Research shows that being in nature for just 2 hours per week can have a significant benefit to our health.

Who: Suitable for all abilities, no experience is necessary and we will provide all the tools and materials.

Notes: Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and for an outdoor setting. Sturdy footwear is advised. Participants must be 18+

Thanks to our funders: National Lottery Heritage Fund, Sellafield Ltd SiX - Social Multiplied Impact Programme and supported by The Environment Agency.
