Welling in Nature - Nordic Braiding

  • Moresby Rugby Union Club Moresby Parks CA28 8XW (map)

When: Wed 25 Feb 1pm-3pm

Where: Walkmill Community Woodland (meet at Moresby Rugby Union Club)

What: Working in pairs we will use wool to do nordic braiding. This will involve tying our wool to a branch, attaching weights and swinging the weights to each other to create a colourful braided string. You can make your braid into a bookmark, wristband, hair tie.. you decide.

Looking for a way to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy the great outdoors? Our Wellbeing in Nature sessions are all about good company, fresh air, and trying your hand at something different. Whether it’s sharing a story around the campfire, getting stuck into a bit of woodcraft, foraging or simply enjoying the peace of the trees, there’s something for everyone each week.

Spending time outside has loads of benefits - it can boost your mood, ease stress, and give you a real sense of connection (to both nature and good craic with others!). Plus, it’s just a great excuse to get active, get outdoors and do something fun.

Come along and join us in the woodlands as part of the Wilder Walkmill project. No pressure, no experience needed - just bring yourself and see what it’s all about!

Who: Suitable for all abilities, no experience is necessary and we will provide all the tools and materials.

Notes: Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather and for an outdoor setting. Sturdy footwear is advised. Participants must be 18+
